We were able to add seven more stalls at Grace Farms.  We have three still available.

 Welcome Faith and her horse Summer to Grace Farms.  Jessica Kirk will be bringing her warmblood, Big Bird to Grace Farms too! 

Congratulations to Jeff Gustafson who easily won our 2009 Boarder of the Year Award.  I have to admit the race wasn't even close, thanks Jeff for all your help on the farm!

Welcome to our new horses on New Year's Eve, Mattie and Patrick both moved to Grace Farms! 

The mini is here!  Squirt has come to Grace Farms for the winter.  We'll have fun hanging out this cute little addition to the farm! 

Welcome to our new friends Petra Lang and her Trekanher gelding Isy!  Both have recently moved to MN from Germany.   They are a great addition to our farm! 

Congratulations Dr. Hurliman on finding your perfect match!  Lisa had been looking for her tall dark and handsome dressage partner and she found it all in Peron!  Peron is a 12 year old Dutch Warmblood.  They will have many years of joy together! 

Grace Farms would like to welcome Emma and Sophie Smith to our farm family!  Emma is leasing a 10 year old thoroughbred mare owned by Grace Farms and Sophie is leasing a 4 year old appendix gelding also owned by Grace Farms.  Both girls are a perfect match with the horses!

Congratulations Shannon Schlee and her pony club quiz bowl team who were champions at their Seattle quiz bowl competition!

Welcome to our new half leaser of Micah, Deb Brown!  Deb is a 2nd level rider that has taken a couple years off of riding and is now ready to get back to the joy of riding!  We are excited to have you at Grace Farms, Deb!

Good luck to Grace Farms', Shannon Schlee at Pony Club Quiz Bowl Finals in Seattle!  We know you'll do great, and we are so proud of you!

The show season is going well!  We have had numerous first places, many new high scores, some high point show winners, and five Grace Farms' horse/rider combinations have qualified to compete at Midwest/Regional Championships this Sept, Julia Hengel on Rein Dance, Maddie Murray on Fredricka, Samantha Ahl on Gonzo, and Rebecca Leatherdale on Defiance and Rein Dance! 

We'll begin our Theory Parties, Cross Training, and Drill Team practices again starting in September.  These are FREE lessons/activities and a great way to enjoy riding together.  Watch the website, emails and the white board for the schedule.  If you are not a boarder but would like to join us for our Theory Parties just give me a call or send me an email for the times/dates, we'd love to have you!

CONGRATULATIONS Julia Hengel, Maddie Murray, Samantha Ahl, Abbi Christensen and Lexi Ablinger on receiving the USDF Shining Star Award (for the second year in a row)!!!  This award recognizes that these girls promote good sportsmanship, a desire to work hard and do well in dressage, they have good ethics and horsemanship along with so many more great qualities.  I don't think USDF could pick a better group of girls!  Grace Farms is so proud to be able to call these girls theirs!  Congratulations!! 

GF is excited to welcome our new boarders Emily and Jamie Lamprecht arriving in July!  We look forward to meeting your young warmblood! 

We are also excited to welcome Skip's new half leaser, Jeff Gustafson!    Jeff and Skip instantly formed a great partnership.  The whole Gustafson family has been a great addition to Grace Farms! 

Congratulations Mark Holt on purchasing Ace for your new trail horses.   We look forward to hearing about your great adventures with your daughter on the trail!

GF would like to welcome our new boarders, Mindy and Lisle the the horse they share Roberto!  They are two very nice people and we are glad to have them!

Congratulations Samantha and Rachel on your new horses Gonzo and Bella Danali!  You'll both do great with your new mounts!!!

 Finally, the construction is finished and we can finally just enjoy some great riding no matter what the weather is! 

We are well under way with our theory parties.  We watched the  video "If Horse Could Speak" a video about modern vs. classical dressage.  Hope everyone can come!  We are now in the the Walter Zettl series.  Join us on Sunday afternoons for some free dressage theory!  (See the calendar page for specific dates).

We will be starting our cross training practices. Dates for March and April are listed on the calendar page,  we plan to do things like trail rides, cavelletti work, small jumps, free jumping, and in hand work with our horses.  This will be a great way to establish better fitness and bonds with our horses. 

Our drill team practices are also starting back up.  Make sure you sign up if you'd like to be a part of our fun drill team practices.  Our stop out for some fun entertainment as we put them together!

Grace Farms will host the CSDEA's DRDP JJ Tate Clinics for 2009!  We are so excited to do this and to have JJ Tate inspire us all!  The first clinic will be April 18th and 19th see the calendar (or CSDEA's)  for the other two clinic dates.

Kurt is always lending a hand to keep our barn nice and clean!  Whether it's cleaning up after a party, or vacuuming the lounge he is a wonderful cleaner!
