Grace Farms is a 24 acre farm tucked back in the trees of Hassan Township. The barn has 15 stalls (each with automatic waterers), in the heated side, and 7 brand new stalls in the unheated side, two bathrooms, a huge lounge (with small kitchen, large t.v., desks, tables and chairs), feed room, and 3 tack rooms (with individual lockers for each horse). The barn has a 190X90 outdoor arena, and a 72X184 indoor arena. Both arenas are brand new. The indoor is very bright and warm in the winter (well insulated and heated) and stays very cool in the summer! The indoor has six foot high kick boards, eve lighting, mirrors along the entire short side, a safe viewing area with additional heaters, and all the doors are covered for safety. There are 15 large paddocks, and two pastures. Each have brandnew Richie automatic waerers and brandnew Centaur fencing. There will be riding trails winding through the property. And Crow Hassan Park trails are just a mile away!
Grace Farms is owned by Chris and Becca Leatherdale.
Chris and Becca met while Becca worked at Leatherdale Farms, owned by Chris' parents. During that time a friendship formed which later turned into a life long commitment to each other through marriage.
Since then Becca has been working full time teaching classical dressage to kids, adults and horses. And has continued this business at their new farm. In addition to teaching others, Becca feels it is important to continue her own education and development of skills. She has been working with German Reitlehrer FN, Gerhard Ablinger for six years, along with various other clinicians and trainers.
Chris has been a part of Minnesota's horse industry since going to shows with his family as a young boy, taking riding lessons in his youth, to helping his father with his Hanoverian Breeding Farm. After meeting Becca, Chris renewed his love for riding, and in 2005 purchased his first horse! Chris attended his first shows in 2006 and 2007 where he impressed many with his natural talent. Upon buying their farm in May 2008 Chris retired from his job of 13 years at Landscape Structures, Inc.! Chris now manages the barn and take excellent care of the horses and clients that have graced our lives! Chris also has a gift for for helping Becca starting young horses (part of that gift comes from his 6'4" frame!). No matter what Chris is doing he's always happy to lend a hand to a client in need!
Chris and Becca (along with their three boys) enjoy the opportunity they have to work together on their own peaceful farm! They would like to thank their parents, families, and clients for their help, support and prayers!
